The CoreLogic Sacramento Cowtown Marathon, Half-Marathon, Relay and 5K Fun Run & Walk will
take place on Sunday, October 1, 2006 in William Land Park, Sacramento, California. All races will
begin at the Northeast corner of the park on Freeport Boulevard across from Sacramento City
College.

The loop Course is flat, fast, and very scenic. It is also a Boston Marathon qualifier.

Aid stations are located every 2 miles serving water and Cytomax. At mile 17 Cytomax’s
Gulp ‘N Go energy gels will be available.

Our Live Bands along the course and typically good Race Day weather (58 - 80 degrees) Race Day Weekend Weather will provide the perfect motivation to keep you going. You're guaranteed to look great in your Finish Photo!

The Marathon, Half Marathon and first Relay team member will all begin together at 7:30 AM sharp. The 5k will start at 7:45 AM with a 1 hour time limit for completion.

Please allow enough time prior to the race start times of 7:30 AM sharp for the Marathon, Half-Marathon and Relay and 7:45 AM 5K start.

You may want to take advantage of an official training program to help you prepare for this fun event. Fleet Feet Sports - Sacramento will offer an 8-week half marathon training program. Please check back for more details as they become available or call us.

You can pre-register and/or pick up your race packet Friday, September 29, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 30, from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Fleet Feet Sports, 2311 J Street, Sacramento, .
Of course you can register on race day – the fee is higher, the crowd is big, and the T-shirt sizes are running out, but we love your spontaneity and will get you registered and on your way as fast as possible!

Registration takes place from 6:00 am - 7:15 am.

Awards will be presented to overall winners and age division first place finishers on stage. The awards ceremony will take place at the following times:

Plenty of parking is available along the side streets of William Land Park and at Sacramento City College (located across the street from the start/finish area). Please follow the parking signs.
All events will have photo finishes provided by "Brightroom Photography". Please be sure to have your bib number visible as you cross your finish line.

We encourage all walkers, however there are no age divisions for this entry type.

There are no hotels within walking distance of the start/finish line. The closest hotels are approximately 3 miles away. Most out-of-town participants stay downtown and make the less than 10 minute drive to the race in the morning. The Holiday Inn Capitol Plaza, 300 J Street, (916 446-0100), Vagabond Executive Inn, Old Town, 909 Third Street, (916 446-1481), and Courtyard by Marriott – Sacramento Midtown, 4422 Y Street, (916 455-6800) offer discounted rooms for race participants. Capital Road Race Management will provide ChampionChip Timing. All participants are responsible for returning their chip at the conclusion of the race. If for some reason your chip is not returned on race day, please use the envelope provided to mail it back.
